Clare qualified as a Clinical Psychologist in 2005 in the UK, and moved to New Zealand in 2009. She has worked in a variety of areas, including community and hospital adult mental health teams, prisons and secure units, youth offending teams and schools. She has worked in the NHS (UK) and the District Health Boards in Auckland.
Clare works with young people and adults (aged 16 and over) experiencing a range of mental health difficulties, including anxiety/panic, worry, stress, depression, OCD, and trauma. She is specialized in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Self-Compassion work.
Please note, Clare does not offer couples therapy, ACC assessments/therapy, workplace assessments or Court reports.
Clare aims to be approachable and flexible and enjoys helping people to overcome their difficulties and gain practical skills that will be helpful for life.
Clare also offers clinical supervision for psychologists and other mental health professionals, such as CBT Therapists.
She is registered with the New Zealand Psychologists Board and is a member of the New Zealand Psychological Society.
